Celebrate the month of December with humble spirits, open hearts, and hot pumpkin spice lattes with us by diving into this month's read, Unlearn x Humble the Poet. In this international bestselling novel, influencer, rapper, and spoken word artist, Humble the Poet introduces counterintuitive lessons for reaching our full potential! Beloved for his sincerity, playfulness, and sage advice, globally famous rapper, spoken word artist, poet, blogger, and influencer Humble the Poet has traditionally shared his message of self-discovery, creativity, and empowerment with his fans through music and written word. That message has now been extended to this empowering book, offering insights and wisdom that challenge conventional thinking and help you tap into your best, most authentic self. Humble sees life with unique clarity. In Unlearn, he opens our eyes to our own lives, helping us to recognize the possibilities that await us and the challenges that prevent us from realizing our dreams. With his characteristic honesty and forthrightness, he helps us shed the problematic lessons we’ve learned throughout our lives that limit us, from sabotaging habits, to fixed mindsets, to past regrets, and relearn new, unconventional ways of moving through life. Among his 101 lessons are:
  • Fitting In Is a Pointless Activity
  • Don’t Trust Everything You Feel
  • Killing Expectations Births Happiness
  • Comparisons are Killer
  • Baby Steps Add Up
  • You Decide Your Worth
Profound in its simplicity, Unlearn is the perfect invitation to a new beginning and to pursue a life of fulfillment. What an amazing way to end 2019 than with this awe-inspiring read! Ooooohhh yes! The PERFECT read with a group of friends as you create your new vision board full of new dreams, new goals, and new beginnings! We can't wait to dive into this read! Tell us what you think! #LoveforLiteracy Book Drive!

Picture
Happy December! We have been super appreciative of all the love we receive from each and every one of you, and we would like to say, THANK YOU! We would not be who we are without the support and love from all of you! For some of you who may not know, we love to give back ESPECIALLY to the great and curious minds of children interested in reading, but may lack the resources at home.  Each December, we participate in our #LoveforLiteracy Book Drive where we collect children's books or donations to give to our local organization, Book Harvest. Book Harvest is a North Carolina literacy nonprofit organization based in Durham, NC. Book Harvest provides an abundance of books and literacy support to families and children across the state, with over one million books since 2011. OH YEAH! If you have new or gently used children's books that you would like to donate through us to give to Book Harvest, please contact us through: thebookspotbykg@gmail.com!  For those of you who do not have children's books, but would like to donate, you can donate through our GoFundMe: gf.me/u/w3vjcd  At thebookspotbykg, we are a family, and a safe space for readers to grab dope books, see wonderful interviews from people doing amazing things in our community, join a sisterhood with our book club, donate to such great causes, and mingle with other like-minded souls! Follow us on IG & Twitter: @thebookspotbykg We welcome you and all of you to continue to share your love and light with us!
